‘Terrifier’ Director: Horror Franchise Is not Political


It takes a robust abdomen to look at a “Terrifier” movie.

Director Damien Leone’s trilogy (a fourth movie is reportedly within the works) traffics in among the most grotesque FX within the horror style. And that’s saying one thing with movies like “Males” and “The Substance” within the public house.

There’s nothing overtly political concerning the movies, though one might argue their adherence to retro ’80s shock is an announcement unto itself.

Leone disagrees.
