Singapore’s Temasek invests in WeRide, Pony.ai to spice up China tech holdings


The state-owned firm purchased about 1.4 million shares of WeRide and 14,500 shares of Pony.ai within the September quarter, in response to its 13F filings launched on Friday. The whole worth of the shares was round US$13.7 million.
Temasek has a historical past of investing in autonomous driving corporations. These included the Swedish transport agency Einride, a know-how provider for electrical and self-driving vehicles, and the Israeli synthetic intelligence mobility start-up Autobrains.

By the tip of September, Temasek had a complete of US$29 billion of investments in US securities, with about US$2 billion in 16 US-listed Chinese language shares.

Temasek’s newest offers replicate the 51-year-old funding big’s concentrate on forward-looking applied sciences, whereas guaranteeing supply of upper returns to shareholders.
