Joe McFadden, a music trade govt who had stints at EMI, Capitol Information and Higher Noise Music and labored with acts together with Merle Haggard, Paul McCartney, Coldplay, Bob Seger and Mötley Crüe, has died. He was 77.
McFadden died March 11 in Chatsworth, California, after a protracted sickness, a publicist introduced.
Born on Nov. 16, 1947, in Tracy, California, McFadden earned a level in enterprise administration and administration from Fresno State College and labored along with his father, Jack, in Bakersfield managing such notable artists as Haggard and Buck Owens.
He began out with EMI in 1975 earlier than becoming a member of its label Capitol and serving as its senior vp gross sales and subject advertising from 1985-2007. Survivors embody his spouse, Ellen; sons Jonathan and Jeffrey David; daughter Sara; grandchildren Jeffrey, Maci, Vivian and Elijah; and sister Lana.
A service will probably be held at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday at Church of the Recessional at Forest Garden Memorial Park in Glendale (a stay stream might be considered right here). Donations in his honor might be made to St. Jude Youngsters’s Analysis Hospital.
