Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos is mourning the lack of his mother, Jackie Bezos.
In a Thursday Instagram submit, Bezos wrote, “Her maturity began a bit bit early when she grew to become my mother on the tender age of 17. That couldn’t have been straightforward, however she made all of it work. She pounced on the job of loving me with ferocity, introduced my superb dad onto the workforce just a few years later, after which added my sister and brother to her checklist of individuals to like, guard, and nourish. For the remainder of her life, that checklist of individuals to like by no means stopped rising. She all the time gave a lot greater than she ever requested for.”
He went on, “After a protracted battle with Lewy Physique Dementia, she handed away at present, surrounded by so many people who beloved her — her children, grandkids, and my dad. I do know she felt our love in these remaining moments. We had been all so fortunate to be in her life. I maintain her secure in my coronary heart perpetually.”
Bezos’ new spouse, Lauren Sanchez Bezos, commented, “We’ll miss her SO a lot. Love you ❤️💔.”
Celebs who responded with their condolences included Sharon Stone, who wrote that she not too long ago misplaced her mother, too; Antonio Banderas, who expressed his sympathies in Spanish; and Naomi Campbell.
Jackie was her son’s largest fan, and supported him by co-founding the Bezos Household Basis with him.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Bezos; all three of her children — Jeff, Christina and Mark; 11 grandkids; and one great-grandchild.
The household has inspired anybody moved to recollect Jackie to take action by donating to a nonprofit.
