Veteran Korean director Hong Sang-soo specialises in delicate character research, however not often has he discovered such a heat ray of humour as he does in his newest movie, What Does That Nature Say to You.
Premiering in competitors on the Berlin Worldwide Movie pageant – a feat Hong appears to handle nearly yearly with out fail – this new work is an incisive home comedy-drama that feels prefer it has the potential to interrupt out of the pageant circuit.
The story begins as a pair arrive by automobile from Seoul. Dong-hwa (Ha Seong-guk), a poet in his thirties, has pushed his girlfriend, Jun-hee (Kang So-yi), to her mother and father’ dwelling in Yeoju.
