
Denise Alexander, a cleaning soap opera celebrity remembered fondly for lengthy runs on “Days of Our Lives” and “Basic Hospital,” has died.

Alexander was born November 11, 1939, in New York Metropolis, the daughter of agent Alec Alexander.
She first appeared on TV in 1950, debuted on Broadway within the 1952 revival of “The Youngsters’s Hour,” and made her feature-film debut in “Crime within the Streets” (1956), which starred Sal Mineo, one in all her dad’s shoppers.
