Peacock has lined up the 2 leads for its restricted collection The Good Daughter.
Rose Byrne and Meghann Fahy will lead the drama, which relies on a novel by Karin Slaughter (who can be writing each episode of the collection). Byrne will even be an government producer.
The Good Daughter scored a straight-to-series order at Peacock in March, with Jessica Biel connected to star. Biel departed the challenge in September; Fahy is taking over the position Biel had been set to play.
The collection facilities on two sisters, Charlotte (Byrne) and Samantha (Fahy) Quinn, who’ve spent the final 28 years attempting to piece collectively the lives that have been fractured by a single evening of violence. When one other assault splinters the small city of Pikeville, Charlotte is the primary witness on the scene. A lawyer like her father, she’s compelled to confront her personal demons because the case twists by surprising revelations, and each she and Samantha marvel if the value of being the nice daughter was value it.
Byrne stars with Seth Rogen in Platonic at Apple TV+ and likewise led that streamer’s Bodily for 3 seasons. Fahy is coming off The Excellent Couple at Netflix and counts season two of The White Lotus and The Daring Sort amongst her credit.
