Good-looking cleaning soap star Wayne Northrop, who performed two completely different roles on “Days of Our Lives” over the course of 25 years, died Friday after an extended battle with Alzheimer’s illness. He was 77.
THR experiences his spouse, cleaning soap star Lynn Herring Northrop, stated in an announcement, “He took his final breath within the arms of his household. We want to thank probably the most caring and superb place, the Movement Image and Tv Dwelling, for taking such nice care of him. Wayne touched so many individuals along with his humorousness and wit. A husband for 43 years, the perfect dad ever to his two boys, Hank and Grady, and a rancher who liked his cows and was a good friend to many.”
Born April 12, 1947, in Sumner, Washington, he made his debut on an episode of TV’s “Eight Is Sufficient” in 1977.
After a number of TV visitor spots, together with on such hits as “Baretta” (1978) and “The Waltons” (1979), he acted within the TV films “Beggarman, Thief” (1979) and “Going for the Gold: The Invoice Johnson Story” (1985).
In 1981, he started double-duty, enjoying Michael Culhane on the nighttime cleaning soap “Dynasty” (1981-1987) and making his first of greater than 1,000 appearances on “Days of Our Lives” (1981-2006), on which he performed Dr. Alex North and Roman Brady.
He additionally performed Rex Stanton on greater than 100 episodes of “Port Charles” (1997-1998).
